
How can a mentor help a student to be both intrinsically motivated and optimistic?There are so many unique way to attain this. But the first and most crucial step is to exemplify the trait yourself.
Failure is short-lived. Everyone goes through a sense of failure at one point in his life.Whether the failure you encountered is big or minor, what’s important is that you don’t view it as a chronic problem.
Understanding optimism. A genuinely constructive individual will not look at failure personally, but accept that it is just a momentary blow which can happen to anybody. This is the reason it must be a major focal point of a child’s teachers and parents, especially if the pupil is struggling. It is up to the teachers to encourage the student to look at the positive side of every sensed disappointment in her life. They must shape their own verbal responses and answers to any such events, scenarios, feelings, or situations in totally non-judgmental ways. They should aim at imparting to the child that their difficulties are short-lived, that success is something coming from hard work, and that they have strengths that will assist them acquire the solutions they need.Specifically, the teacher should, reframe the pupil’s perception of a daunting issue – talking about the issue with them using non-judgmental terms or comments is the foremost step. For instance, a mentor should never assess a failure by jumping into the “where you went wrong” approach.
